PROJECT INFORMATION

THE CHALLENGE

The University of St Andrews uses Qlik to analyse their student records, student applicants, estates, research grants, etc. Although they find that Qlik offers extensive insights, they wanted a tool that could help them to understand and properly document their data.

THE SOLUTION

NodeGraph enables them to investigate, visualise and discover hidden elements of their Qlik environment. By using NodeGraph they can see dependencies within the data as well as see exactly where the data stems from. Ultimately, NodeGraph allows them to analyse their Qlik solution all the way from the data source to end-user applications, on a field level.

WHAT IS NODEGRAPH?

Like The University of St Andrews, most companies require multiple tools and complex processes to reach their data and analytics goals. NodeGraph has everything you need to grow in one place, combining data lineage visualisation, data cataloging, automated BI testing, documentation and more in one cohesive dashboard. So that both business and IT users can be in full control of the entire data journey.

"This product complements any reasonably sized implementation of Qlik. Now that I have it I couldn’t live without it. I only wish there was something similar for our Data Warehouse. My favourite feature is the ‘Last Modified’ heatmap, showing how long ago all QVDs were last refreshed. This has highlighted several missing links in our ETL process"
