Confirmed: Rugby League legend Jamie Peacock to speak at Qlik World Tour 2022

Confirmed: Rugby League legend Jamie Peacock to speak at Qlik World Tour 2022.

Catalyst BI is thrilled to announce that Rugby League royalty, Jamie Peacock, will be the opening guest speaker for the afternoon Data Strategy Showcase. The Showcase forms part of the Qlik World Tour, taking place on 30th June 2022 at Headingley Stadium in Leeds from 9.00am to 5pm.

In his sporting career, Jamie became the most decorated Rugby League player in UK history. He played more than 550 games over 19 years including 49 caps for England and Great Britain which he captained for 8 years. In 2015, at the end of his illustrious sporting career he was the most successful player of the modern Super League era as well as being selected in the Super League Dream Team 11 times, the World 13, twice, and nominated the World’s Best Forward, twice. In 2011, he received an MBE in recognition for his services to the game.

Jamie then turned his considerable ambitions and remarkable talents beyond rugby and has become an inspirational speaker, as well as delivering mentoring and wellbeing programmes. His focus is on creating long lasting leadership habits. The self-discipline, diligence and tenacity he developed over the course of his rugby career have been instrumental in formulating his blueprint for personal success.

He has worked with the likes of the NHS, McDonalds, and HSBC to create winning team cultures. Jamie said:

“I am really looking forward to being part of the Data Strategy Showcase afternoon at Headingley and being able to deliver my motivational talk 'Champion Teams’, which looks at 12 principles that create high performing teams through excelling as individuals, leaders and the collective. Finally and most importantly no knowledge of Rugby league or sport is needed."

As well as inspiring others to achieve their top potential, he also works for the Leeds Rhinos and the BBC.

Jamie is now a keen endurance runner, having completed 4 marathons and 2 ultra-marathons, including a 52-mile double marathon around London. In the process, he has raised over £100,000 for charity. In April this year, he ran an incredible 104 miles in 24 hours– the equivalent of four marathons to raise thousands of pounds for Greenhouse Sports, a London-based charity for children.

The confirmed line-up of those speaking at the Qlik World Tour and Data Strategy Showcase, alongside industry experts from Whitworths, Onward Homes, Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust and Price Forbes & Partners, will continue to be announced by Catalyst BI over the coming weeks.
