Catalyst is an award-winning IT solutions business delivering Business Intelligence (BI) and Oracle NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions. Customers include GKN Aerospace plc, Morrisons Supermarkets plc, Travis Perkins plc, Orange and Wickes.
Both Catalyst and QlickIT are Qlik Elite Partner’s in their own right, the highest possible Partner status achievable. Qlik has been at the top of the Gartner BI Magic Quadrant for 9 years with its unique approach to Reporting, Analysis, Data Mining and Data Interpretation.
Commenting on the news, John Elliott, Owner at QlickiT said, “We are pleased to hand over the reins of QlickiT to the Catalyst Team. The businesses have known each other for several years and developed a great working relationship. After 40 years in the IT industry, I am looking forward to my retirement and leaving QlickiT in a very safe pair of hands.”
Mark Godliman, Managing Director at Catalyst also said, “The acquisition allows Catalyst to enhance its existing portfolio and enables us to operate across 10 market sectors. QlickiT has superb staff, customers and an excellent reputation in the marketplace. The two businesses are identical in terms of structure, go-to-market messaging and have complimentary skills and expertise. It will be very much business as usual with location and contact details remaining unchanged. This is a fantastic first acquisition for Catalyst and kick starts our 3-year period of acquisitive growth.”
Mike Cawthorn, Director and Business Solution Lead at Catalyst commented, “Catalyst is at the forefront of innovating Qlik solutions, primarily into the Private sector. However, we have also delivered ground-breaking Public sector engagements such as Project Axis into The London Borough of Hillingdon and Avon and Somerset Police, which is having a really positive impact on youth offending rates in these areas. By bringing these two businesses together, we unlock the potential to look at the capabilities of the Qlik platform and how predictive and artificial intelligence can be used across our customer base.”
