Connected Factory · Energy ROI
Energy is one of the few big costs a manufacturer can actually control, yet most sites see it as a single number a month. Monitoring and targeting energy use typically saves around 5% (Carbon Trust). This shows what that is worth on your spend. Capturing it means seeing energy by product, process and shift, the same connected data foundation behind the rest of the Connected Factory.

Typical annual saving
That saving is the floor, not the ceiling. The same connected energy data sharpens pricing, supports carbon reporting, and is the foundation the rest of the Connected Factory stands on. The quickest way to see where you stand is the two-minute Benchmark.

How this is worked out. The typical saving is 5% of your annual energy spend, which is the Carbon Trust's figure for the saving from energy monitoring and targeting. Where you ask us to estimate your spend, we multiply your turnover by your sub-sector's energy share of gross output (ONS, 2017 to 2019 average). This is illustrative and rounded; your actual saving depends on your sites, processes and how much of the data you act on. It is not a guarantee. Sources: Carbon Trust (monitoring and targeting); Office for National Statistics (energy as a share of gross output by manufacturing sub-sector).
